La Barrosa beach is located in La Barrosa, Chiclana de la Frontera in the Costa de la Luz Spain.  This is one of many fantastic beaches in the region.  Running along 8km of coastline this un-interrupted beach has fine golden sands.  It is fantastic for children due to the deepness of the beach and shallow gradient into the sea.  As you walk towards the Sancti Petri Island part of the beach it becomes more natural with dunes and rock pools to explore.  You will always be guaranteed a large part of the beach to yourself even in peak season.

You can get to the beach via one of the many board walks.  The main part of the beach has a long promenade to walk along - one of the favourite past times of the Spanish holiday-makers, it is lined with wonderful bars and restaurants.  Just two roads back from the beach you will find more bars & restaurants along with surfing and tourist shops and small supermarkets catering for all your needs.  The main beach also has a toilet and shower block so you happily take a picnic and stay there all day. 

Parking is available near the beach front but in peak season it is best to park a little further away and walk and spaces are rare at this time of year.

Another fantastic beach El Palmar Beach is a 12 km long beautiful fine golden sand beach.  El Palmar beach is located in El Palmar in the Costa de la Luz Spain between Trafalgar and Roche.  It is well known by surfers and kite-surfers as it is a great beach for these sports. 

The beach has lifeguards present, there are facilities such as showers and toilets on the beach and there is free parking.  There are a few bars and restaurants located close to the beach so that you can sit and soak up the astmosphere whilst having tapas.  It is not as built up as some of the other beaches and there are no hotels built close to the beach yet! 

There is a tower on the beach called Torrenueva which was used in the 17th & 18th century, it was used for surveillance of the coast line to stop the invasion of pirates and criminals into the Cadiz province.

Los Canos is another beach that the surfers love due to its great waves.  This area is renowned for its fantastic golden sand beaches backed by pine forests and cliffs and deep blue seas.  A lot of holiday rentals here are located directly overlooking to beach so if you want to book that special holiday rental then this is place to go.

Barbate is a peaceful fishing town which has an excellent 1800 meter beach.  It is shallow and perfect for children.  Barbate is mostly populated by Spaniards who love to go there for their holidays as it has such a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surroundings.

The dark blue Mediterranean in the east, the turquoise emerald ocean with its magnificent white endless sandy beaches in the west, hilly nature parks in the north – Tarifa, continental Spain’s southernmost town, is one of the most remarkable places in the world, facing the whole mountainous north African coastline on the other side of the Straits of Gibraltar at a distance of 15km. 

Tarifa beach is 12km long and has beautiful white sands and is still very natural with hardly any hotels located on the beach.  Due to its location Tarifa has two conflicting winds passing through it, from the east is the levante and from the west is the Pontiente, this makes Tarifa a well known area for its water sports like windsurfing and kitesurfing.  You can hire equipment for these sports on the beach.  You will find that Spring and Autumn are the best times for surfing in Tarifa.

Islantilla Beach is another long golden beach.  Located in the Huelva province in the town of Islantilla this beach boasts clear calm waters and fine golden sand and is a Blue Flag beach.

The beach has some great facilities with a life guard/red cross station on the beach, access for handicaped people, parking for 100 cars, showers & toilets.  There are places where you can rent sun beds and sun shades from and for the more sporty people there is sports equipment hire shops within easy reach.

La Antilla beach is great family beach which has a promenade running along it.  There are also wooden board walks leading onto the beach itself making it easy to access.

The beach has fine white sand, as the beach is also very wide and has moderate waves it makes it ideal for families.

Facilities such as showers, toilets, sunbed and parasol hire are all close to the beach.
